Sri is considered to be the main shrine of Sri Lankan as well as Vesena Buddhists in the world. This is the highest religious shrine in the world. It is located at the top of Samanala mountain located in Pala Baddala village of Ratnapura district. In this religious shrine, the left foot of Lord Buddha is located and it is difficult for religious people who worship Sri Pada to see it and worship it. Also, it is difficult to climb Samanala mountain. It is a task and there are rules to be performed by the devotees who worship Sri Pada first For this Sri Padaya pilgrimage, you can see places like Keerthi Sri Rajamaha Vihara, Sita Gagula, and Idikatu Pana while climbing the Samanala Mountain.   Our temple is located in the middle of the village. That temple name is Jannandarama temple. It is a very beautiful temple. It is a reputed temple in Hikkaduwa. That temple is not meraly a structure of bricks.That temple is get very important place in other things.Many people observes sill and worship in our temple on every Poya day.The Dhamma school held on every Sunday in that temple.The sermons held on every once a month in our village temple. Offerce a serance escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I worshipped on every Poya day that temple. It is a very ancient temple. I like that temple.
